IMOGENE ARCHER
Imogene has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Akron and was the first black computer programmer at B.F. Goodrich. She played a role in Tyler Perry’s “I Can Do Bad All By Myself” and teaches Sudoku for Beginners.

Johnnye teaches the Highlighters Class.

Tyrone is the Fitness Director and teaches Martial Arts, Self Defense and Chair Aerobics.

Julia teaches Handmade Greeting Cards.

JAMES BROWN
James teaches Bridge, Intermediate.

LINDA BRYAN
Linda has a BFA in Silversmithing and has been a member of the Cobb County Gem & Mineral Society for over 20 years. She teaches Wire Wrap Jewelry.

DOROTHY CALLOWAY
Dorothy is a retired elementary education teacher with a BS from Morris Brown College in New York City. Her creative endeavors include writing speeches, Sudoku, gardening and much more. Dorothy teaches Sudoku.

ANITA CLAY
Anita has an MAT from Kent State University. She worked in the public school systems in Michigan and Missouri. She is an editor, professional speaker and a speaking and writing coach. Anita teaches the Writers Group and Beginning Writers.

DORETHA CONNER
Doretha learned the crafts of sewing, crocheting, and piano from her grandmother and mother. Originally from New York, she attended school in Savannah, Georgia and worked in Washington, D.C. Doretha teaches Crochet with Plastic Bags.

Danielle teaches Cardio Circuit Aerobics and Body Flow.

Larry teaches the Art of Meditation.

KAREN DRAKE
Karen is a Certified Personal Trainer and has been a personal trainer for nine years. She is the creator of the 10-week “Fat to Fit” program. Karen teaches Silver Sneakers Classic, Beginning Yoga, Walking for Weight Loss, Intro to Resistance Training, Dynamic Abs and Strength Training.

MATTIE DRIVER
Mattie had extensive versatile art training from artist Marjé. Her Kingdom Gift Cards are each handcrafted with unique combinations of style, taste and design for any occasion. Mattie teaches Semi Pro Greeting Cards.

ROCHELLE W. EVANS
Rochelle teaches Mellow Moments, Talk and Share and Romance from 50 to Forever.

YVONNE EVERSLEY
Yvonne teaches African Dance.

DR. MARILYN FRANKLIN
Marilyn has been a quilter for more than 20 years. She began by making quilts for friends and family and has been teaching at the LWSC for more than three years. Her class is Quilting, Beginning from Scratch.

BOB GLICKSMITH
Bob is a commercial photographer, visual arts consultant and educator. Graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta, he holds an AA degree in Photography. He teaches Photography, Advanced DSLR Camera Hardware Technique and the Digital Camera Workshop.

CAROL STEVENS GRAY
Carol has a BFA from Ohio Wesleyan University and taught art in public schools for nine years. She began her freelance calligraphy business in 1997 and has done mostly wedding related work. Carol teaches Calligraphy Basic.

WANDA L. GUY-DOVE
Wanda teaches Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.

AARON E. HAILES
Aaron teaches Dominoes.

J.D. HALL
J.D. started The Lou Walker Dance Troupe, a line dance group, that travels around town sharing their love of dance. They have been highlighted in CrossRoads News and On Common Ground News. J.D. teaches J.D.’s Troupe.

TRACIE LEE HAWKINS
Tracie is a technology instructor and full-time artist and curator. She teaches Computer Basics 1, Computer Basics 2, E-Mail at a Glance, Beginning PowerPoint, Beginning Word, Beginning Internet, Smart Phones and Windows 10 & Using Your Laptop.

TALIAH HASAN Taliah teaches Lou Walker’s Dancing Men.

JANICE JOHNSON Janice teaches Intermediate Sewing with Patterns.

LILIETH JONES Lilieth received a Certificate in Floral Design from DeKalb College and is the owner of L.J.’s Flowers & Gifts, specializing in upscale designs of silks and dried florals, fresh florals for weddings and much more. She teaches Floral Design.

JOHNNY LEE KIMBROUGH Johnny teaches Ballroom Dancing.

FRANCES KING Frances earned her BA in Psychology and Anthropology from Agnes Scott College. She is a poet and writer and was drafted to teach the African American History class during an interim period when the class was to be canceled.

CHARLENE KNOX Charlene teaches the Drama Club and Toastmasters.

LORNA LINDSEY Lorna teaches Advanced Yoga and Brains, Flexibility, Balance.

RUTH MAYO Ruth teaches Beginning Line Dancing.

MARINO OGLE Marina teaches Traditional Crochet.

CLAUDETTE POWDAR Claudette has a degree in Social Work and took sign language classes at the School for the Deaf in New York City. She has a son who is deaf and has been signing for years. Claudette teaches Beginning Sign Language.

JANET PRIOLEAU Janet is an interior designer in greater Atlanta and Owner and Principle Designer of Janet Prioleau Interiors, a full-service interior design firm. Her work and design articles have been featured in publications such as the AJC and Atlanta Home Improvement. Janet teaches Interior Decorating and Event Planning.

JAN REYNOLDS Jan teaches Modeling Icon.

ZSA ZSA ROBINSON Zsa Zsa is a certified Zumba and Group Exercise instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience in fitness. She teaches Zumba Group Exercise, Arthritis Foundation Exercise and Chair Aerobics.

BARRY ROOSEVELT Barry has spent the past 11 years as a professional photographer taking photos of families, weddings, schools, sports, models, events and commercial projects. He teaches Basic Digital Cameras, Gift Ideas on the Internet, You & Your Camera and Better Pictures on Your Phones, Tablets & Cameras.

ADELINA SAN JUAN Adelina teaches Tai Chi.

HERTENCER SHEPPARD Hertencer teaches SUN style-short form Tai Chi.

JOHN SHULTZ. John teaches Beginning Pottery Making, Advanced Pottery and Ceramics.

WARREN ST. JAMES Warren is the owner of Exercise At Any Age, LLC and is the Director of Aquatics at the LWSC. He teaches Walk With Ease Arthritis Foundation, Stretchercising and Tai Chi.

COREY TAYLOR Corey has a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from Clemson University and a Master’s of Music in Jazz Piano Performance from Georgia State University. He founded Skilled Musician, LLC, an organization dedicated to providing music education in a user-friendly manner.

GWEN THOMAS Gwen, a native of Dallas, Texas, began playing the piano at age four and has mastered the piano, organ and violin. She has also had formal training in dance and enjoys drama and the theatre.

COLA TURNER Cola teaches Crochet by Numbers.

SENELLA WATSON Senella teaches the Bicycle Club and Hip Hop Line Dancing.

SAMUEL WILLIAMS Samuel is a Visual and Performing Expressionistic Artist. In 1968 he became the first African American art teacher in the DeKalb school system, where he continued to work for 34 years. Samuel is the recipient of the Beaux-Arts Award, National Dance Institute Scholarship Award and Bronze Jubilee Award for Long Term Contributions to the Arts. He teaches Exploring the Arts, Theatre Arts, Sculpture and Drawing & Painting.

GLORIA WILLIAMSON Gloria teaches the Advanced Jewelry Group, Dressmaking by Pattern and Drapery Making.

RITA KAY ZOOBER Rita is a health communicator and health campaign planner. She earned her MS in Health Communication from Boston University and her BS in Rehabilitation from Wright State University. Rita teaches Nutrition Kale Yeah.
