Tickets Now on Sale for the Theresa Walker Senior of the Year Annual Awards Luncheon
Every community has its quiet heroes – the ones who show up, give back, and lift others without ever asking for anything in return. We believe those individuals deserve to be celebrated.
That’s why, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, we’re hosting a very special event: the Theresa Walker Senior of the Year Awards Luncheon. Held at noon at the Lou Walker Senior Center in Lithonia, this gathering will shine a spotlight on senior citizens who have poured their time, energy, and love into making DeKalb County a better place for us all. We are honored that our Master of Ceremonies will be The Honorable Larry Johnson, Retired DeKalb County Commissioner.
If you would like to nominate someone for Senior of the Year, please contact [email protected] for a Nomination Form. Tickets, tables, sponsorships and ads are available, or view the forms below.
This isn’t just an event. It’s a celebration of legacy. We hope you’ll be a part of it—and help us tell the stories that deserve to be told.
