Stonecrest, GA 30058 — The Lou Walker Center’s Advanced Digital Photography Class captured 2nd, and 3rd places, and two People’s Choice awards in the senior category of the 2019 Atlanta Celebrates Photography (ACP) City-wide Competition. The 2nd and 3rd place winners are Bob GlickSmith and Donna Lewis. The class also captured two People’s Choice Awards, secured by Lester Millsaps and Donna Lewis.
The exhibit opened Saturday September 7, 2019 and will run through Saturday September 2, 2019. The exhibit is on display at The Abernathy Arts Center, located at 254 Johnsons Ferry Road NW, Sandy Springs GA 30328
The exhibit is open to the public. Viewing hours are: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. A closing reception will be held Saturday September 28 from 11am until 1pm. The ACP City-wide Competition Photo Exhibit is part of a month long celebration of photographic art across the Atlanta Metroplex. The Lou Walker Senior Center competes annually in this competition. Under the direction of instructor, Bob GlickSmith the group has achieved a notable amount of success, winning on multiple occasions since 2011.
This years exhibit features two award winners from the Lou Walker Center: Bob GlickSmith and Donna E. Lewis who won respectively 2nd and 3rd places for their entries. Photographs are attached.
